TheFashionReviewer is a directory and enquiry network for the fashion industry. This page explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it deliberately short and plain.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form), and whether you registered as a buyer or a supplier.
- Business profile content — if you list a business, the information you choose to publish: business name, location, capabilities, certifications and similar details. Published profiles are public.
- Enquiries — the details and any files you send to a supplier through the platform, which are visible to you and to that supplier.
- Messages to us — what you submit through the contact form.
- Technical data — an essential session cookie that keeps you signed in, and standard server logs (such as IP address) used for security and rate limiting. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run your account, show your published profile and deliver your enquiries.
- To send service emails such as password resets and enquiry notifications.
- To review businesses for verification and keep the network trustworthy.
- To protect the service against abuse, spam and unauthorised access.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to operate the site: hosting (Vercel), our database (Neon), file storage for enquiry attachments, and email delivery. They process data only on our behalf. Enquiry content is shared with the supplier you contact; published profile information is visible to anyone.
Retention and your choices
We keep your information while your account is active. You can edit your details, or delete your account and its associated data, from your dashboard settings at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data — contact us and we will respond.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and its date.
